I wish you all the best out there having only one power company in the city of Las Vegas has always being a problem and will continue to be a problem. GET NEVADA POWER OUT. or a few companies need to step up and give them competition.

The Public Utility Commission approved the 18% increase. NV Energy recently slashed previously promised healthcare benefits from 600 retirees.

NV Energy reported $182.7 million for the three months of July, August, and September 2010. More important than Vegas residents, these profits amounted to $.78 cents per share. For the first nine months of 2010, NV Energy reported a net income of $218 million, up from 2009. NV Energy collected $134 million in federal bailout cash (WHY?), and pays their CEO Michael Yackira over $4 million a year. NV Energy raised the cost of electricity 18% in 2010!
